    Madhya Bangla’r Sangram organized a seminar for the LGBT community at the Behrampore Collectorate Club on 25th November 2017. The event started with a Pride Walk from the club premises to the statue of Mother Teresa. The participant sang many patriotic songs like ‘we shall oversome’, ‘agun-er poroshmoni’ on the way. At the statute, the participant paid homage and respect to the souls of those who participated in the struggle to get social acceptance for the community, by observing a silence for 1 minute. Back at the club premises, everyone watched two documentary movies and actively participated in discussions.

    The entire event started with the organizer of the event, Sri Arunava Nath presenting a flower bouquet each to the Chief Guest and other special guests. One of the documentaries named “Shongram er phirey dekha” was produced by the organizers themselves, while the other one “ Katha’ was produced by SAPPHO FOR EQUALITY.
    The Chief Guest, Dr. Nirupam Biswas CMOH Murshidabad and other guest Professor Shaktinath Jha and Shri Rajorshi Chakravorty shared their valuable thoughts with the audience.
    The event ended with sweets being distributed to all participants.
